Yeah here is the SAC Art Package vol.17, delayed, but who cares, its better
as never. This delay attribute to, mmh let me call it differences within
the group. The activities of most of the SAC members was more than poor.
I mentioned, that the most members are not much interessted in the group.
Beside some exceptions, no one of the group was able to send me his art
stuff on time or just to say hello, i am still alive, but did nothing.
The well known and fix-dated release date past and nobody of SAC noticed
that no SAC Pack was released.
This arouse my suspicion.
Okay. I started with thinking about all this stuff as the only one in SAC,
as ever and came to the conclusion that a group with quite democratic
structure is not practible.
May it works, if the group is only a bunch of guys, where everybody knows
eachother personaly, frequently phones together and maybe drinking beer
together. But if the stuff becomes a bit larger and we hope more popular,
this form of group structure is a dead end street.
SAC is the best example for it.
After this important insight i decided to restructure the group completly.
First action was to kick much of the SAC Members to declare them to ex-SAC
members. All SAC BBSs and FTP-Sites followed.
You can get the latest SAC Pack from our WEB-Page, at cdrom.com or
giga.or.at. Sysops and Site-Op dont ask us for Affil./Dist. or HQ status
anymore. SAC isnt in need of it.
The new Member Structure of SAC is separated in 4 parts.
1. Leaders/Founders Hetero and me
2. Senior Members Guys, who are long time in SAC, quite reliable AND
active
3. Members
4. Trials all new SAC guys, like time of probation, about 6-12 month,
surely dependable from each guy himself
To rise from Trial to Memberstatus dont means, that you are unfireable.
Who is doing shit, changes his attitude in a negative way, dies or is not
contactable for not understandable reasons for a long time can be kicked
from each position. Okay, may be its most times enough to set one back to
a lower status. We will see.
There is no Membervoting for applies as in the past.
Only Hetero and/or me decide about newbes. EVERY newbe joins first as
trial its equal, if he was a god or not.
The applies will be spreaded via mailinglist as in the past too and
opinions of any member are welcome.
Best way to apply is to send Hetero or/and me the examples with the
personal information included as EMail or via IRC-DCC. Details to the Way
of Application as ever in the lower part of the nfo-file.
Furthermore every old and new Member will get an Internal Grouprule-
list. Seems to be necessary, that at least the basic things will work and
nobody has a reason to grumble, if he becomes kicked coz disregard the
rules. Some basic stuff should originally be clear in a group, but that the
last blockhead will be reminded on it, stuff like a law have to be enact.
I refuse to be the babysitter for all group mates anymore.
I think the new way of SAC is understandable for everyone. Most guys will
say that it was truly necessary, other especialy the ex-SAC guys will be
a bit angry. Okay, i think its a try. If it will not work as expected, we
will stop it. Wouldnt be the first group.
And now some personal and basic words, especialy for the guys, who think
of an application to SAC.
Not any small group/bbs/site is lame, as no big and well known groups/
boards/sites are elite.
It should be clear to everybody, that first there exist different scenes
warez,art/demo,shareware etc., second small stuff isnt cogent shit, third
small stuff not have to stay small and fourth the remaining rest is not
automaticly be elite.
To draw for small groups/boards/sites is not lame, as it isnt elite to
draw for the majors and well known only.
I think the division in lame and elite itself is the bullshitt at all.
Who is calling himself as elite, only want to upgrade himself at the
others expense. Boy, this is a sign of character weakness.
Who think, that he is super special, better, nicer as the others dont need
to waste his time on applying to SAC.
Guys who are calling himself as elite are the real lamers in my eyes.
With view to the art, it means, that its never worseless to spend some time
to the newbes. To laugh about them and to be arrogant to them is a
disgusting way. Some useful tips and some encourage words are better in
such situations.
I dont know, how good you where as you have started with drawing.
I know that i wasnt the fantastic hero, but i worked very hard to improve
my art. Most of us are actually no natural born talent.
Okay. Let it go upwards from now downwards is not possible anymore i
