Fokus Fonting (fokus)
A 1999 Polish ASCII founding spun off directly from the AWE Lettering dissolution. Six packs (fokus01-06) ran February through August 1999. Knocturnal and Mr.Wrong led, with Mr.Wrong's Fokus #1 NFO actively settling scores with AWE's editor: "WE DIDN'T KILLED AWE, Tna did it. We decided to quit and make Fokus." The split from AWE was the point. Fokus's whole institutional purpose was to be the AWE successor that the AWE-mainline crew had refused to allow. Six packs of pure ASCII typography work proved the bench was deeper than the political fight but the brand didn't outlast the year. A short, sharp 1999 statement-piece.
