1. Howdy everyone, this is Lord Soth here,
delivering your monthly . iCE Pack. This month
has witnessed Tempus getting in a car accident, Soul
Rebel losing close friends in a car accident, and hardly comparable,
hard drive crashes by Deeply Disturbed, Golgotha, and Incubus. Our Best
goes out to Tempus and especially Soul Rebel. As for DD, GL, and IN, feel
free to contact us if you want to send them complimentary Tape Backups :
I hope all our little problems dont reflect in the quality of the pack.
2. New Members: Wed all like to welcome in alphabetical order: Argon,
Frog, Future Assassin, Hfaze, Magnetic M, Neurotic, Skitzo,
Tonedef, and finally Veks.
2. This month saw the departure of Zer0, who had some other things to tend
to in his life.
3. There are some great VGAs that arent viewable yet in iCEView. These are
the all the JPGs: IX-ONE.JPG, IX-TWO.JPG, LO-ICE01.JPG, TD-FC1.JPG,
TD-FC2.JPG, TD-JOURN.JPG, and finally CG-TERMT.JPG.
4. This month there are two major changes in the Senior Staff section. Both
Shaggy and Pnakotic have stepped down. Pnakotic feels he doesnt have
enough time, as much as he would like to remain Senior Staff. In case
youre worried, he still finds Shaggy and myself very attractive. Shaggy
has stepped down to an Advisor position, ending his two-and-a-half year
Senior Staff career for those who dont know, Shaggy used to be known as
Metal Head. Fear not fair maidens, neither Pnakotic nor Shaggy will stop
drawing.
5. I want to apologize for not listing in last months pack that Sanctuarytm
has changed numbers. The new number for Sanctaurytm, the iCE World HQ,
is 305-340-SUCK.
7825
6. We have a couple big coding announcements! First off, we are finally
unveiling our new viewer, iCEView. Cheers out to Friar Tuck for working
so damn hard on this, and no, this is definately not the last version
youll see. Also, due to problems with people adding virii to the packs
and spreading them, this pack sees the implementation of CRC checks on
executable files. You can check all the executable files in the packs
by typing CRCCHECK *.EXE. It also will be used on COM files, although
in this pack there are no COM files. If any of the executables fail the
CRC check, you can call any of the iCE Headquarter Boards and download
the pack for yourself. We guarantee that the pack on these boards will
be virus free. If you find any bugs in iCEView, email friar@netcom.com
with the subject iCEView Bug and then send a filled-out ICEVIEW.BUG
which is included in the pack. If you have problems getting your SVGA
card to work with iCEView, try running UNIVESA also included in the pack.
