This is a .txt file supposed to be read with the aid of some
musical output while offline so if youre online or at the work or
something similar... STOP READING! TAKE THIS FILE HOME, PUT ON A CD
OR SOME MODs PLAYING AND RESTART READING!
Credits list is getting bigger as the issues start coming out!
I believe the journal will start to stabilize a little now that we have
entered a new month! Hope that subscribers will keep on rising! This is
the first time im zipping the file since its starting to grow and we
need to keep the size small for distributing if not by anything else!
Chart system is still weird but now just a little more different!
Section number 11 changed once again! Now it became demosceners
list! What they do, where they are from and in which group they are in,
all info in just 1 line!
Nephoo joined in has demojournals polish correspondent! Blame him
if it starts raining non-stop on poland all of the sudden!
Other then that, i wish you all a happy reading and that you become
more aware of whats going on with the demoscene when you reach the final
line!

AEG from Smash Design C64 coder is getting married! His fiancee
wrote she would marry him as soon as possible on the big screen at wired98!
I was near the compo computer at the time so i know it was HER who wrote
that and not some prank joke! Dunno how i had managed to be awake at the
time but i sure hope AEG was... Dunno how the rest followed so youll just
have to ask AEG himself about other details.
Exceed won AntIQ 98 intro compo! Rumour has it they were supposed
to get second place but that members asked games-players for their
vote-sheet and voted for themselves!
Distance is a tree! He claims i cant be a part-time alien
coughing fireballs on weekends because it would be a bad tree-idea
look-alike! NOT FAIR! I WANT OT BE A PART-TIME ALIEN! : How can i explain
me beeing so weird without being able to say that i am a part-time alien?

7.Demo of the week Psychic

Uncontested winner of Wired98 waved byebye to runners up
Absolum from BlaBla and Stere0mike from The Immortals. This one
brings me back a lot of memories since i went to wired98, this beeing
my first demoparty ever presenting my own demo! Although my demo was
crap i delighted myself with others works! And so this AWESOME piece
of art still remains in my memory. A very good enviroment! With
excellent design and tons of great graphics, together with great music,
this one ROCKS! Very gothic and quake-like enviroment which fits in
great! The code is synced with music and features some nice 3D scenes
above all. Only the transitions between the 3 parts are a little bad plus
one particular 3D scene where the engine coufs a little even on my
233MMX! Never the less... An awesome and BIG demo well worth the 9 megs
it takes!

yes i know, this is kriffins second track mentioned here, but i cant
change the fact, that this .it was the best track i downloaded during
the last week.. it kinda reminds me of the latest ez-rollers eps -
acoustic jumpup-bassline, many jazz-sequences, funky drumloops.. jazzstep !
and since im a confessing ez-rollers fan even if their jazz-stuff may be
quite placative compared to more serious jazzstep stuff, the track
really got me.. or, as the infofile says, EH!.. go kick james last and
keep ouh snapin yo fingers to this nigga!! hehe
btw, in case you havent already heard it, check out the new 4hero lp on
talkin loud.. and compare their we who are not as others track
with gravity lock from blackbeat1 my vinyl-label, but dont

I add up all votes i got around and only at the end of the month
do i deduct 1 point from each votee! That should help the charts rise up
a little for starters! What im trying to do is to get fresh work on the

This is going to be impossible to be accurate! What im going to

doing... 1 line per demoscener! Every person who thinks they should be
in here is free to send in to me their info... Also i am not god! I dont

After i released second issue of demojournal i got this email
from adok/hugi... The contents do not matter very much, what i want to
write about is about the review of demojournal1 he is going to post on
his diskmag hugi12, since he sent it to me so i could have a look.
I am not going to quote exactly what he wrote, the main idea is
that demojournal1 was very childish although with some interest to the
scene!
Well... This is my reply to that article so make sure you read
it on hugi12 when released. http://home.pages.de/hugidownload/
1. The journal is small because it was the first issue and it is
supposed to be read offline when you are at home staring at your computer
without feeling like working!
2. The journal is childish because:
2.1. I am in the demoscene to have fun! I am studying civil
engineering! I do not believe my life is going to be programming computer
games like most of us demosceners. I like to have some fun before i die!
2.2. I am 18 and already in the 2nd year of university! I entered
primary school with 5 years of age! There is an year missing in my life
which i cannot get back. People expect strange things from me: They expect
me to be more childish since im only 18 and expect me to be more mature
since im on second year of university! Its hard for me to understand.
Cant blame others for not understanding it!
3. I write what i feel like writing. My english is very praised
by myself since i hate people miss-pronounciating words in other languages!
If i swap has with as the world isnt going to collapse! Everybody
miss-spells here and there! We aint gods! I dont even believe in gods!
4. If you didnt get the jokes on demonewz its your fault! Go
see statix homepage and talk with unreal about the spice girls!
5. Its released weekly... I write it all down on friday night!
I already have much to do without having the journal, i cannot spend every
day of the week working on it... I take things home on friday afternoon
and put it all together there! I apologize to all spelling freaks but i
cannot spend whole weekend checking the errors!
6. How can you gather articles for a diskmag that isnt out yet?
The same happened with the first issue of demojournal! It was all left for
me to do! I did it. People didnt flame me, i did it again! If no one tells
me to stop ill keep on doing it! Fortunatly Assign accepted to take care
of musical section and Nephoo is supplying polish news! Others have helped
me here and there aswell: magnesium, gyr, shock, skrig, cremax, distance,
cyg and asphyx among others!
Other than these things, the journal will evolve into a more
mature newsletter with time! Im changing the structure as feedback comes
in telling me that some section sucks!
Thank you Adok for reviewing my attempt at a demojournal in
a very professional way! It helped me focus on problems i still havent
solved! Best of luck with Hugi12 btw.

13. New releases
Hum... I got this idea right before closing the editor, that means
i dont have much to post! Ill get in touch with some music labels so
theyll send me their week releases if any! so i can post them! Also i
need to check ftp.hornet.org and ftp.scene.org for incoming stuff and post
it here if it is possible! Hum... This is looking more like demonews
with each new section i implement!

This is a .txt file supposed to be read with the aid of some
musical output while offline so if youre online or at the work or

Credits list is getting bigger as the issues start coming out!
I believe the journal will start to stabilize a little now that we have
entered a new month! Hope that subscribers will keep on rising! This is
the first time im zipping the file since its starting to grow and we
need to keep the size small for distributing if not by anything else!
Chart system is still weird but now just a little more different!
Section number 11 changed once again! Now it became demosceners
list! What they do, where they are from and in which group they are in,
all info in just 1 line!
Nephoo joined in has demojournals polish correspondent! Blame him
if it starts raining non-stop on poland all of the sudden!

wrote she would marry him as soon as possible on the big screen at wired98!
I was near the compo computer at the time so i know it was HER who wrote
that and not some prank joke! Dunno how i had managed to be awake at the
time but i sure hope AEG was... Dunno how the rest followed so youll just
have to ask AEG himself about other details.
Exceed won AntIQ 98 intro compo! Rumour has it they were supposed
to get second place but that members asked games-players for their
vote-sheet and voted for themselves!
Distance is a tree! He claims i cant be a part-time alien
coughing fireballs on weekends because it would be a bad tree-idea
look-alike! NOT FAIR! I WANT OT BE A PART-TIME ALIEN! : How can i explain
me beeing so weird without being able to say that i am a part-time alien?

Uncontested winner of Wired98 waved byebye to runners up
Absolum from BlaBla and Stere0mike from The Immortals. This one
brings me back a lot of memories since i went to wired98, this beeing
my first demoparty ever presenting my own demo! Although my demo was
crap i delighted myself with others works! And so this AWESOME piece
of art still remains in my memory. A very good enviroment! With
excellent design and tons of great graphics, together with great music,
this one ROCKS! Very gothic and quake-like enviroment which fits in
great! The code is synced with music and features some nice 3D scenes
above all. Only the transitions between the 3 parts are a little bad plus
one particular 3D scene where the engine coufs a little even on my
233MMX! Never the less... An awesome and BIG demo well worth the 9 megs
it takes!

yes i know, this is kriffins second track mentioned here, but i cant
change the fact, that this .it was the best track i downloaded during
the last week.. it kinda reminds me of the latest ez-rollers eps -
acoustic jumpup-bassline, many jazz-sequences, funky drumloops.. jazzstep !
and since im a confessing ez-rollers fan even if their jazz-stuff may be
quite placative compared to more serious jazzstep stuff, the track
really got me.. or, as the infofile says, EH!.. go kick james last and
keep ouh snapin yo fingers to this nigga!! hehe
btw, in case you havent already heard it, check out the new 4hero lp on
talkin loud.. and compare their we who are not as others track
with gravity lock from blackbeat1 my vinyl-label, but dont

After i released second issue of demojournal i got this email
from adok/hugi... The contents do not matter very much, what i want to
write about is about the review of demojournal1 he is going to post on
his diskmag hugi12, since he sent it to me so i could have a look.
I am not going to quote exactly what he wrote, the main idea is
that demojournal1 was very childish although with some interest to the
scene!
Well... This is my reply to that article so make sure you read

1. The journal is small because it was the first issue and it is
supposed to be read offline when you are at home staring at your computer
without feeling like working!
2. The journal is childish because:
2.1. I am in the demoscene to have fun! I am studying civil
engineering! I do not believe my life is going to be programming computer
games like most of us demosceners. I like to have some fun before i die!
2.2. I am 18 and already in the 2nd year of university! I entered
primary school with 5 years of age! There is an year missing in my life
which i cannot get back. People expect strange things from me: They expect
me to be more childish since im only 18 and expect me to be more mature
since im on second year of university! Its hard for me to understand.
Cant blame others for not understanding it!
3. I write what i feel like writing. My english is very praised
by myself since i hate people miss-pronounciating words in other languages!
If i swap has with as the world isnt going to collapse! Everybody
miss-spells here and there! We aint gods! I dont even believe in gods!
4. If you didnt get the jokes on demonewz its your fault! Go
see statix homepage and talk with unreal about the spice girls!
5. Its released weekly... I write it all down on friday night!
I already have much to do without having the journal, i cannot spend every
day of the week working on it... I take things home on friday afternoon
and put it all together there! I apologize to all spelling freaks but i
cannot spend whole weekend checking the errors!
6. How can you gather articles for a diskmag that isnt out yet?
The same happened with the first issue of demojournal! It was all left for
me to do! I did it. People didnt flame me, i did it again! If no one tells
me to stop ill keep on doing it! Fortunatly Assign accepted to take care
of musical section and Nephoo is supplying polish news! Others have helped
me here and there aswell: magnesium, gyr, shock, skrig, cremax, distance,
cyg and asphyx among others!
Other than these things, the journal will evolve into a more
mature newsletter with time! Im changing the structure as feedback comes
in telling me that some section sucks!
Thank you Adok for reviewing my attempt at a demojournal in
a very professional way! It helped me focus on problems i still havent

13. New releases
Hum... I got this idea right before closing the editor, that means
i dont have much to post! Ill get in touch with some music labels so
theyll send me their week releases if any! so i can post them! Also i
need to check ftp.hornet.org and ftp.scene.org for incoming stuff and post
it here if it is possible! Hum... This is looking more like demonews
with each new section i implement!

all goes into just one file! And i can easily cutnpaste it to the notepad
