CoolPHat (coolphat)

Founded CoaXCable and Muhmi after a meeting at the ASM2k Demo Party in Finland, CoolPHat ran as a multi-member group through the early 2000s before consolidating into CoaXCable's solo project by 2011. The first proper artpack was built around the warez-NFO commissioning model. CXC templates for cracker groups like PDX, FALC, RBS, SAC1, MUPS, ORION ran through every pack. By 2006 it was a "birthday pack" without much new energy. 2011 brought a five-year-idle revival under the tagline "Back in Business", with CoaXCable solo and a candid NFO and among the reasons: studies, job changes, health issues & more other." In 2012 a pivot to demoparty competition with ArtWay 2012 in the Czech Republic, Nordlicht 9th place, Reset Solskogen 3rd ("Cowfore"). CoaXCable was now operating as CoolPHat/HUGI Core dual-tag, scene-deep enough to also edit Hugi 28. CoolPHat's late-period activity maps onto a broader pattern: warez-scene art services kept the underground edge of the post-BBS scene alive through the early 2010s. CoaXCable's solo runs from 2011 onward are some of the better examples of how that worked.
