the meaning of the title ansi. its a sunset burning into the tiny
city that is not my home. unit is in the forefront just because it

aight, this is the seventh saga of unit proudly standing in the 410
area code. we had only one very bad incident this month but w e
got a new member as well into our vga department semso from dark.
ripping in general ...
a lot of ripping has been happening lately, not only in the national
scene but in the 410 ac as well. when you take someones else art
it doesnt make you an artist, just a wannabe. just like any other
form of artistic expression like music and literature, ansi/ascii
and other scene related art is the artists own feelings and work.
originality is the key ... if you cant come with anything that is
100 yours, take back a step and ask yourself why do you do this?
And then, come back and start your own artistic expression.
ghost face killa caught ripping ...
on March 16, 1997, the unit crue got some interesting feedback on
irc. it would seem that ghost face killa had taken an ansi original
by zalt of shade and transformed it into his own ascii. all of the
unit members were quite pissed about the ripping and in a democratic
decision he was kicked out of unit. sorry, zalt, someone will make
it up to you...
we want YOU ...
thats right. if you are not happy where you present are and would
like a change, unit demands that you give us a try. group politics
IS bullshit and the seniors are pretty damn friendlY!? yes, one of
them is a sadistic and forgetful b3-Otch b love. another one is a
pervert but adorable in his attitude gravedancer. the third o ne
loves to draw axb. and the fourth one, well, she has the love of
everyonE!?!puff.

pack number 7seven7 is now in your grasp. after our last packet,
i had this burst of anger and energy mixed in one big f u c k i n g
slurpee, knowing that the packet wasnt up to our potential. There-
fore i worked harder this month to try and make 7seven7 as cool
as a trip to the zoo.hopefully youll all agree that seven is pretty
god damn slick although small. this brings me to another point. if
any of you out there want to release with us, just email a senior
member from unit with whatever you want to release and well release
it. no more having to apply just to have something in a packet
although you still CAN apply. if you have a piece that you think
is slick, mail it to us.
anyway, i hope you all dig the pack and all that jazz, and keep your
eyes open for numbah eight.
Monthly Coding Report--Release 7
Again, not much in the ways of coding this month. Ive been working
on a top-secret project. If you are based in 410 and call distro
boards, you will soon see what Ive been laboring on. : Until then,
