I, Sonic, hereby deny and refuse to accept any responsibility for any damage
caused by the use or misuse of this demo. I cannot guarantee that this demo
will work on your machine although it should or that you will enjoy it you
better after the amount of time I spent on it :-, just that it will take up
space on your hard drive must be hard to run THIS demo !!
ARCHIVE:
OK, enough of that crap, whats in the archive then ????
PARA2.COM The file that runs the demo from start to finish ...
P2.DAT The data file for the demo, this contains the ANSI itself,
the MODULE player, the module and a few other neccessary
files that are needed in the demo.
PARA2.TXT This file youre reading now .....
RUNNING THE DEMO:
Right, now were at the good part maybe :-. Firstly let me just quickly
explain about this demo. This is THE first ANSI demo that I know of with real
music. It plays a module whilst showing the demo. Also as the data is in a
special archive it should be almost impossible for hacked versions to appear,
therefore you neednt worry about ANSI bombs. If you have the archiver ARJ
version 2.3 in the current directory or in your DOS path you can view the
demo without needing the huge amount of disk space the unarchived ANSI
requires. OK here are the instructions for running the demo ....
The modplayer should autodetect Soundblasters Etc, if you do not have a
sound card the music should play through the internal speaker eeeuugghhhhh
If you have a 286/386/486 and at least 5 megz hard disk space free just type
PARA2 ENTER at the command line.
If you have a slow 286 and the sound quality is poor or the demo is too slow
and you have the disk space then type
PARA2 S286 ENTER
If you dont want the music and you have the disk space free type
PARA2 NOMUSIC ENTER i.e. If you have a 8086 or 4mhz? 286
If you have ARJ V2.3 in the current directory or your DOS path and you dont
have the 5 megz free to view the demo type
PARA2 ARJ ENTER Sorry, but no music with this option !! And you may
experience slight pauses in the demo :-
For help type PARA2 ? ENTER
If you wish to stop the demo mid-way then CTRL-BREAK are the keys you should
head for.
When the demo has finished, as long as you havent used the ARJ option, there
will be a slight delay in returning to the command line as the demo deletes
the redundant data files it has created.
