Abstrakt took a good decade and a half off for good behavior, but it seems
that underground ASCII art may be just like riding a bicycle in at least one
regard. He appears in this collection courtesy of Lazarus.
Adel Faure learned in the pandemic summer of 2021 that they were not creating
text art in a vacuum, as they had thought, but that there was a community of
colleagues to work with and learn from. Everything since then has been
a feverish frenzy of creation and getting up to speed.

3S a mouse has recently emerged from Tokyo into the realm of severely
minimalist ASCII art. To keep them here, we may need to figure out how to
draw severely minimalist ASCII cheese.

Atonalospreys credentials and qualifications for participating in an
undertaking such as the commission of a computer artpack are so increasingly
abundant -- now moreso than ever! -- that it would be pointless to elaborate
upon at any further length.

Mike Blippypixel Rose is a digital artist whose tastes veer toward the
vintage in electronic music and visuals, dabbling in low-poly 3D modeling, LED
pixelart, and teletext as well as work in the distinctive palette of the BBC
Micro.

cccfires development from FANSI to ANSI and ASCII art continues to fascinate
despite long periods of dormancy.
CoaXCable is a helpful sort, always happy to throw in a handful of blocks on
short notice. Wherever we have a rough spot, hes holding it together.
From their textmode base in Argentina, Deadguy tunnels, explores and
occasionally surfaces in unexpected places.

DW of Dark Systems BBS has recently been adapting video game sprite art and
bead / cross-stitch patterns of classic and nostalgic nerdy subjects into ANSI
art versions, free for all and sundry to make use of... but is graduating to
more elaborate an interesting projects. Stay tuned!

We know, you have questions about the background and identity of Geronimoe - we
all do! They have not been addressed to anyones satisfaction, and the chances
that they ever will be is very slim. In the meantime, however, he leaves a
small body of worthwhile ANSI art for your appreciation, so why not enjoy it?
A genuine professional teletext illustrator two decades hence, Steve
Horsenburger Horsley has recently returned to the game for love of the art:
Its kind of frustrating to discover you are good at something only to realise
its pointless in todays world, but I just really like doing it so I am going
to carry on. We feel your pain, Steve! At his website you can commission
original teletext creations from him, so dont delay to get your
own piece of textmode art history!

Illarterate is a multimedia artist from Wigan, UK. Despite attempts to
modernise, he will forever be known as That Guy That Does Teletext Art. But

Every medium has several modes: a pre-modern approach, a clean modern style,
and a post-modern detournement, often in the glitch idiom. In Jellica Jake,
teletext has found its glitch ma/onster! It is such a simple 3-bit medium
there quite simply isnt the complexity needed for things to go really wrong,
but somehow this artist, doing more with less, has found depths of texture to
imply psychological profundity between the lines.

Part of a feral tribe of uncontacted textmode artists at the 8bitMUSH at
ANSIART.COM, LDA emerges from a family textmode art concern to grace us with
the imagery of his people.
littlebitspace experiments with ASCII art, now turning it into a line art
medium, now dabbling with the use of negative space, superimposed for effect
against high resolution backgrounds.

You wont see any of Mavriks creative work in our recent archives, but
theres a very good chance that the collection will have passed through his
graciously-offered web hosting at mistigris.org en route to you, picking up
from his historical facilitator role greasing the gears of Mists KiTSCHNet
echomail network from its home at Daemons Gate BBS.

The ANSI art scenes rookie of the year 2021, the unknown Mister Roboto drifted
into the Blender like a cloud of fire and proceeded to share the spark with
Blocktronics and Flashparty... all without taking off his mask and revealing
his identity! Along the way, he passed through the Mistigris Moebius server
and shared a little greatness for our fans to enjoy, so ... bon appetit!
You may well have seen the textmode works of Andy ndh Herbert in Blocktronics
artpacks, but for reasons known only to his slush-loving self, he has lowered
his sights to Mistigris as a suitable computer arts community in which to
linger. When hes not editing ANSI art, hes programming ANSI art editors --
his Moebius application is a breath of fresh air, well worth investigating for
seasoned hands and those new to the medium alike!

eminently worthwhile ventures with goading and occasional direct support,
Pannekoekologist brings his creative powers to bear on classic subjects vintage
and modern.
Pinguino grew up on the internet, doing telco for CiA, and VGA for GAS and
Rival. In recent years, she runs the design studio Pinguhaus, goes raving on
every continent, and experiments with obscure foods.

A Milk Dud isnt a failed candy, but a happy accident, an inadvertent discovery
of something great. Which brings us to Pixeldud.

the Swede known as Zeus II is a one-man ANSI art industry. Also, a hell of a
cook!

Sysop of Planet Caravan, has recently dropped back into ANSI art practice as
though through a wormhole in the space-time continuum.
