KLEXiKAL PRODUCTIONS:
ANSI FOR CHILDREN
its been over 2 years since ive released a single ansi.. well,
it was not as if I QUIT drawing. I had ascii to draw.. and, I
continued with the ansi work, planning to release this pack.
unfortunary, all was lost in a accidental image copy of a blank
harddrive image from my new harddrive to my old harddrive.
It only set me back 5 ansis or so. So I continued drawing..
occasionally. about 2 weeks ago, I decided I really wanted to
come up with some ansis again, seeing as my asciis are still
coming.
the ansi scene, unlike the ascii scene.. seems to be on
the wrong track. The groups arent dedicated enough. Perhaps you
would argue Glue has been around a long time, but that means
little.. because in chance of sounding like a hypocrite they
release extremely rarely. However, Glue cannot be blamed.. nobody
is to blame.. There just isnt enough interest. Who can blame
people for not being interested in ansi? It doesnt feed the poor
, or give you orgasms.. or anything useful like that. It just is
low-grade artwork!
Low grade artwork, yes, it is just that. And I
think the additude that it is otherwise is what holds people like
me back. We remember the glory days when ansi meant a lot.. It
was important to us to be the best and release the greatest ansis
ever. However, from the ascii scene, and from age.. Ive learned
art shouldnt be taken so seriously. It is that it is so serious
that you should not give yourself a stroke about it, You got to
do as you want, and create constantly to stay ahead.
I think the
spirit of that is in some of these ansis. These ansis are not
my best ever. Some of them you may think are bad. But, I am
in the opinion that none of that matters anymore, and it never
mattered in terms of art. The creator decides what they want
people to see, and only hold themselves to their own standards,
or at least at ideal, this is what it should be, Its not to
forget innovation, or quality, but a type of de-regulation of
artwork. This, is what to me Klexikal is all about.
Klexikal,
hasnt had a release in some time. Well, I cant say that.. I
have no idea what Dieznyik is doing with this thing these days,
but I figure as once i joined it, I became as in control of the
label as anyone else. I would hope Dieznyik comes accross this
pack, and maybe some other long-gone artists.. So they can see
that hey, somebody released a fucking solo pack after a year of
not having any! Anyways, Ive ran out of things to say, So,
enjoy the art.
