o My first NFO file for Gothic. Enjoy ... - Aphex Twin
o First off, the bad news: Forlorn Extender has left the group to
pursue, uh ... well ... we dont know. Word has it hes possibly
leaving the scene but that is as yet unconfirmed.
o I have replaced STiLE as one of the two Canadian Directors, and Bane
is the new US Director, replacing The Calibre who went to ACiD.
o A new position has been created: Administrative Officer. STiLE
and Sinned Soul, who have helped out the group in many ways over the
past month, are now holding this title.
.o Were sad to announce the break-up of TRiBE. After Shihear was
caught ripping off a Quasar ANSI he left the scene to compose a very
long message explaining how he was framed TRiBE quickly fell apart
due to a lack of organization. Coming to Gothic from TRiBE is Jocko.

o We have two promising new artists joining us this month in Fizban
and Ground Zero we hope to see some good stuff out of you two...
welcome to Gothic. Blade has been promoted from apprenticeship to a
full VGA artist, and Xerf, a newcomer to the scene, is our new VGA
apprentice. Critical Perspective has also joined us as a VGA
artist.
o Dual Standard has joined us as a courier, and is handling the boards
out in western Canada. His new US counterparts are Cybermage, Cynic
Cipher, and Omega Redd.
o We have a new viewer this month -- Bloodview, coded by SiDS, who is
the latest member of our coding division. Both GV and BV will be
included in future packs use whichever you prefer.
A new version GothicView is being released in the pack all RIP
functions are now working correctly. BIG thanks to Skull Leader for
the last minute help. Its really appreciated.
o GothicDraw will be released sometime next month. Its a new 800
line ANSI editor with built-in VGA, being programmed by Sinned Soul.
Ive tried out an early beta, and its already starting to look
pretty cool.
o Forgemaster has become a Gothic musician, joining us from ACiD.
Timelord and Basehead are currently working on a musicdisk that will
be released within the coming months.
. After much discussion and deliberation, Gothic has reluctantly agreed
on the long-awaited iCE/ACiD - Gothic merger. We will retain the
Gothic name, but all ex-ACiD/iCE members are now a part of this new
super-group. Even RaD Man has dusted off his copy of TheDraw .81b to
produce some logos for the next pack...
o MeeP is dead. Dont ask me about it again. Ever.
. Some late-breaking news:
StormWatch and Federation merged with CCi so as to become North
Americas second largest PD network. All art group bases have been
dropped, and the various hubs The Web, Amber, and The Twisted Tower
have all recently become Apogee distribution sites. We hear that
Corwin of Amber is the latest addition to Apogees courier division.
Watch out FidoNet!
What does this mean for the new Gothic? Well, weve decided to
only produce ANSI logos for PD software companies. This decision was
brought on by RaD Man who was upset that he couldnt draw over 25
lines in his copy of TheDraw. Happy now?
All changes will come into effect in the 04/94 pack.
o Maggie is now the official Gothic Mascot. Welcome aboard, Maggie.
