- Introduction -
DONT TOUCH THAT DIAL, WEVE ALREADY ADJUSTED YOUR SET.
DARKs umpteenth pack is here... prepare to cream yourself!
To those people with good memories, this is almost the exact layout
of the August 1994 Dark Collection. Actually, we were too lazy to make a
new layout. Although much has changed over these last five years, some
things never, such as last minute pack assembling and inactive senior
members. Nevertheless, its a real chore putting one of the packs together.
Youd better enjoy it.
Anyway, much has happened since the last Dark pack released
December 1998, if I can recall correctly. For starters, Acidic Soap and
Velkro have done an admiral job revamping www.darkillustrated.org, and
thanks to the tireless efforts of Sudden Impact, our online pack viewer has
been improved. Yes, we had ours up before iCE! So, give it a try!
Additionally, the FAQ was updated, and the memberlisting was trimmed
once again.
Also, dont forget to drop by dark on EFNet and say Y0 Dud3!!! to
our resident fatties. dark is where its at! Its everywhere you wanna
be, baby! cough, cough
Some key membership updates :
Mongul has also joined the ranks of DARK Illustrated. You may
remember his text-mode art he produced for Fire, where he went by the name
Gunthar.
X-Ray has retired from the scene, and thus Dark Illustrated as well.
Well miss his monthly contributions to Darks VGA department. Check his
past artwork at www.darkillustrated.org
Nav Dhillon, AKA The 4th Disciple, has joined Dark once again, this
time as a high resolution artist. Check out some of his work at
www.geneticmalfunction.com.
New Pack Release Schedule :
Weve decided that bi-monthly was just too difficult to maintain for
any length of time, so through a complicated democratic process involving
bobbing for apples and kicking a mountain-goat, weve decided to adopt the
bi-yearly schedule. Unfortunately, this, our half-year pack, had to be
pushed back one month, but well try to stay tight to our new schedule from
now on!

- Filenames --
The Dark files are still named as follows:
XXXXX-.DRK
XXXXX represents five characters for artist name. is a hexadecimal
number representing the number of releases that artist has made to date.
This file naming system is working out just fine for us and hopefully other
groups may find this new method useful with getting rid of the multiple
alias conflicts.

just to make your life more fun! Just scroll down and find your favorite
Darkie, and then move to the right to find out what division hes in. Note:
