hi! this is neil, aka the prodigy aka jega aka your dad. and this is
diode ascii. i assume this will be a one off thing, because its hard to
sustain by myself. and i seriously doubt any of the people who id want to
have join actually would, but ill get into that later.
my girlfriend left me about a month ago, and im mad depressed about
it. ive been filling the void with as much creative output as i can, and it
helps a little. about a week ago, i fired up my old copy of naviagator and
hit acheron, to see if the scene had collapsed or anything. i really didnt
know what was going on, i just sort of left and had no idea what was going on
so there you go. i looked at the remorse, mimic, karma, anal, and hazmat
packs. on the plus side, it looked as though not much had changed. i mean, i
did find out later that wasnt true, but it seemed an easier fit with the first
idea, and made me more comfortable about returning, so i guess thats a plus.
just so you know, i hit an ascii tear, and drew all of these in about
a week. I could have released a bigger pack, but it would have taken a longer
time my fuiency with ascii drawing peaked last night, so now i have as long
as i like to assemble a follow up, if i so choose. and no, i am not joining
your group, or guesting in your pack. im not forcing anything, thatd be
stupid. im rusty, and it shows, a lot. if another pack comes out, itll be a
lot better.
im not going to try and shake things up, thatd be gay. nor am i
going to frequent irc, cause i got better things to do. i am, though, going to
try and draw creative ascii, mess around, see if i still have skills or what.
there are a bunch of things i have to shake off, but i hope that people wont
hate me or whatever. i dont know if i did anything to warrant that, but if i
did, eh.
if i could pull together a group i wanted to, though, itd consist of
the following. ill stick a nice round 15 on my ideal ascii group, in no set
order, of course this is old/new. im sure i forgot people i liked on here -
haji, meatpod, lord jazz, konami, discyple, massm, mankind, unsane, msd,
kleenex, dieznyik, nitrogen, megga hertz, and polymorph.
with honourable mentions to nahal, gravedancer, eipr0mb, hitek, and maestro.
i dont know a lot of those people, and i certainly dont hold myself
in the same regard as them. but i think it would be cool to have any of those
people in a group. my favorite group ever was endow. trank and s0ap would
battle it out for second, and just to play myself, odelay would be a solid
third. i dont know if any of that means anything, but its just what i had
rattling around in my brain. i think, that if people went back and looked at
trank, endow, and s0ap packs, instead of trying to be on the next, it would
be great.
i hope you enjoy the little bit of ascii stuff i did, and if theres
enough demand, that you come back for seconds.
