DECiBEL headquarters
Our goals are very simple: To make a name for ourselves, get the MP3
scene organized, make every days releases more available to every
courier, expand the MP3 scene, and add competition to couriering while
having fun doing it.

1999: RIAA implanted itself in the MP3 scene with the hope of making
some changes in it. The RIAA wanted to change the standards declared by
the founders of the first groups and make it a more open scene. RIAA set
up some standards about quality, naming conentions, and the ability for
couriers to get on some other groups sites to help spread releases.
After a couple of weeks we managed to see that the SFV file process was
already adopted by a lot of rippers and so were the conventions for file
names. RIAA had already managed a lot, and the MP3 scene started to
organize itself. But one thing was lacking, the ability to get different
releases of each group.
Thats where DECiBEL enters the scene. A bunch of couriers and friends
gathered around and formed DECiBEL with the one dream of getting *EVERY*
release made every day by every group to a couple of designed sites. By
doing so, everybody on DECiBELs sites will be able to get EVERYTHING
from one site and need to log on a certain RNS site to get RNS releases
and log on another to get APCs releases.
