well, since mess made one fabolous and very helpful tutorial, i couldnt just
look and adore it, so i decided to move my lazy ass and help people with yet
another great tutorial.
1. step:
first, you need to draw simple letters which are similiar to each other. i will also draw word comic because i can cutnpaste c letters, so its easily to save your time.
p.s. i also pasted o from c, but dont be afraid. there are 2 chances that someone will find out.
2. step:
now, when you have basic outlines, you need to touchup every letter with
different chars. You have to make it, because, if you dont, letters will
look too similiar and that doesnt lead you to an unique artist. It wont hurt
too much if you move letters between each other a bit.

you may also want to put some words in letter if they fit. i recommend
you to do that, because it takes your ascii to a higher level of extra
uniqueness.
3. step:
good, when you moved letters and put some words, then if you think that your
letters still look same or similiar, then you need to change size of each
letter like oldschool ascii artists do and touch up them again.

i also need to warn you that will be very good to put a same character of letter that you draw. that will bring you also extra popularity and you will get some new friends, because some people can hardly read
different styles of newschool, so they will be glad to see that someone cares about them.
4. step:
now, when you finished your font, you need to put some background, because it
will add more extra look to your ascii.

5. step:
heh, now you have font and background finished. ill let you guess what is
missing ? right, COLORS. also, put different colors on letters. every color
on one letter, just like i did. ill make words blinking, because they are
easier to read.

6. step:
ok, ascii is now almost finished. you just need to put your sign on it. its
really useful for you to put blinking or brighter colors on ascii. if your
daddy has some shop or bar, he can always get some neon promo screens to put
over its doors.

i recommend you to find your own sign style. think about something
what no1 else will use. also, when you are newbie use some darker
colors on your sign, because some people may think that you have
enormous ego if you use white or even blinking colors like mess did.
ofcourse, when you become established artist, you are allowed to use
all kind of colors for coloring your sign.
p.s. if your daddy or grandpha owns comic store, they can use this piece of
art with my honest approval, just tell him to leave my sign on it.
final words:
