Down Again by Rogan-X
Down Again by Rogan-X
Down Again after hours
When I have nothing else to give,
And all of my mind has been bled dry...
I know what Ill be doing to myself,
Under a white moon sky.
Destruction penetration.
Defilement desecration.
What have we gained,
In a thousand lifetimes of war?
Where have we gone,
And have we gone too far?
I only stare outside when the sky is overcast,
The blue hurts my eyes, and more times than not
Brings back images of years gone past too fast.
Thoughts turn into cigarettes,
A device to waste your time.
All kinds of diseases are just waiting
To take over your mind.
In the times past, we had a looking glass.
Where is it now?
Has it gone to ground?
We always hope for a brighter day,
An easier way to get through.
Well, listen to the words, heed them,
Hear what it is Im telling you...
Theres a rusting nail hanging over your head,
It is perhaps the sum of your dread.
Fear not and you have nothing to fear,
Live inside yourself and hold life dear.
All someone has to do is cut the thread,
It could be something someone said!
You try to outrun history,
You wind up living in misery.
Grab on tight to whatever you can,
Here we go down again.
