John,
Really? none of those long pieces were over 57 characters? I gotta
check my captures g
- that SLMR will include it in the *.REP package, but will only DISPLAY
- it when it does not end a line of text, like this -
- and this -
Well, now ... thats interesting ... PCBoard wouldnt let me quote the
ALT-14 ...
Heres the 3 blind mice I did for my daughter I know the codes will
get stripped, but whatre you gonna do?

C16C16O3B16A16B16O4C16O3G16G16G16P16F16E8.D8.C4.E8.D8.C4.
Now, at the end of each line of music code there is a space then the
ALT-14. Do you mean that if I throw a dash in between, it will come
through OK? ... I gotta do some more work on understanding this stuff!
Thanks for your kind help and understanding in helping us neophytes
get off the ground! :

Since ansi and vt100 are quite similar, maybe these will help you:
The VT100 responds to receiving the DA Device Attributes control
Esc c or Esc 0 c
by transmitting the sequence
Esc ? l Ps c
where Ps is a character that describes installed options.
The VT100s cursor location can be read with the DSR Device Status
Report control
Esc 6 n
The VT100 reports by transmitting the CPR sequence
Esc Pl Pc R
where Pl is the line number and Pc is the column number in decimal.
