of course we had a LOT of material problems, but in a way
i liked that because many people came to help us, it was
really fun to be like 20 at the compomachine and 20 at
the mix table to let the compos running :

Shodan well, i am someone very nervous in all times...
especially in my first party as an organizer : add the
fact that i haddnt eaten and slept since 3 days almost
and its simple : my nerves broke down :-//
but everyone at the party place was cool, Made, Arrakis,
Serb, Skyfire... they all showed me great support, for
which d like to thank them once again :

party-ending, i think it was overall a cool party :
many problems, but everybody understood that they were
mainly not our fault, and that we did everything we could
to make it happen! well see for ARF 2... : some
mistakes wont be made twice, but overall the ambience
was cool, there were nice people, and thats what i like
in parties, its meeting people!
actually, i almost never work at parties... i spend my
time walkin around and chatting with friends... its so
much cooler than irc :

nice intro by calodox...

3MB HD, VESA2, Midas for sound. I guess a Pentium with 16 MB should
be enough.
The Demo:
My, this is a bit strange. Almost no 3D, no amazing new effects,
no zillion colors... but its not one of those hi-res design demos
either. A bit different from todays demos, and I must say, I like
this. The code is nothing special, we have crossfaded pictures, nice
particles, anti-aliased 3D-wireframes, a wobbling background
thingie... Thats it. Pictures ? Black/white scanned photos and an
ugly font. So what makes it good? Hmm, maybe it has to do something
with the feelings... Serial killers, violence spreading like circles
in the water, I AM CHRIST !,... Not exactly positive feelings, but
maybe contagious? Millenium fever ...
The Music:
Feverish indeed. The same tune of electronic beeps, always
repeating, sometimes there is a break, a drum solo or so, but then
the half-melodic pattern catches on again. I would have liked a
little bit more variation, but probably they made it this way to fit
the demo, which repeats parts too. And they succeeded, I have to
admit.
Worth the download?
You can here people saying that learning how to code a demo is far
more diffucult now than it used to be. Realtime raytracing, a heavy
3D-engine that equals those used in professional games, more more
new effects everyone has to learn... Those people, and everyone still
learning to make a demo, should watch this and see how much Bad Karma
can do with such simple effects, and a nice idea. No, I dont
believe in the idea behind the demo, but it is good enough to make a
nice demo with it. Bad side of the simple coding is that they
dont seem to have a compressor, as the zipfile is about half the
size of the uncompressed demo. So all you have to do is download
this 1.7 MB zip from your favorite ftp site, and watch it. And have
a happy life after it.

ps on the keys. I must say i really enjoyed this one. Long time i
didnt downloaded things out blind and i did it with the proxy
releases and this was one of the few that really impressed me. This
is what demos are all about. Not fancy code and 3d-engines but design
and emotions.

Another typical Virne intro. Nice music. Awesome style and great
compacting code. Uses high-color on a very smart way. The brilliant
colors Virne brags so much about on the infofile do look splendid.
This is a little hard do describe but it looks like an alpha channel.
The more centered you are the more colorfull you get. If you get to
high or to low you get more dark or more light. See it and youll
understand what im talking about.. The rest of the demo is just
weird things moving and teh story of our friendly and apparently
drunk aswell little robot. How he can hear more than us mear humans
how he can see beyond what we see and understand our world better.

hospital, but lets be objective... i think it was a cool
mood not too many gamers/porn-leechers
of course we had a LOT of material problems, but in a way
i liked that because many people came to help us, it was
really fun to be like 20 at the compomachine and 20 at
the mix table to let the compos running :
ps i was sleeping when you were taken to the hospital. what
happened after all?
Shodan well, i am someone very nervous in all times...
especially in my first party as an organizer : add the
fact that i haddnt eaten and slept since 3 days almost
and its simple : my nerves broke down :-//
but everyone at the party place was cool, Made, Arrakis,
Serb, Skyfire... they all showed me great support, for
which d like to thank them once again :

party-ending, i think it was overall a cool party :
many problems, but everybody understood that they were
mainly not our fault, and that we did everything we could
to make it happen! well see for ARF 2... : some
mistakes wont be made twice, but overall the ambience
was cool, there were nice people, and thats what i like
in parties, its meeting people!
actually, i almost never work at parties... i spend my
time walkin around and chatting with friends... its so
much cooler than irc :

camp... in the pyrenees mountains, south of france, near
spain then i brought it just for fun at a party... and

i guess today, more people know me on the scene because
of my red hat than because of my crappy music hopefully!

one ansi-intro by my friends of injection, and one very
nice intro by calodox...

3MB HD, VESA2, Midas for sound. I guess a Pentium with 16 MB should
be enough.
The Demo:
My, this is a bit strange. Almost no 3D, no amazing new effects,
no zillion colors... but its not one of those hi-res design demos
either. A bit different from todays demos, and I must say, I like
this. The code is nothing special, we have crossfaded pictures, nice
particles, anti-aliased 3D-wireframes, a wobbling background
thingie... Thats it. Pictures ? Black/white scanned photos and an
ugly font. So what makes it good? Hmm, maybe it has to do something
with the feelings... Serial killers, violence spreading like circles
in the water, I AM CHRIST !,... Not exactly positive feelings, but
maybe contagious? Millenium fever ...
The Music:
Feverish indeed. The same tune of electronic beeps, always
repeating, sometimes there is a break, a drum solo or so, but then
the half-melodic pattern catches on again. I would have liked a
little bit more variation, but probably they made it this way to fit
the demo, which repeats parts too. And they succeeded, I have to
admit.
Worth the download?
You can here people saying that learning how to code a demo is far
more diffucult now than it used to be. Realtime raytracing, a heavy
3D-engine that equals those used in professional games, more more
new effects everyone has to learn... Those people, and everyone still
learning to make a demo, should watch this and see how much Bad Karma
can do with such simple effects, and a nice idea. No, I dont
believe in the idea behind the demo, but it is good enough to make a
nice demo with it. Bad side of the simple coding is that they
dont seem to have a compressor, as the zipfile is about half the
size of the uncompressed demo. So all you have to do is download
this 1.7 MB zip from your favorite ftp site, and watch it. And have
a happy life after it.

ps on the keys. I must say i really enjoyed this one. Long time i
didnt downloaded things out blind and i did it with the proxy
releases and this was one of the few that really impressed me. This
is what demos are all about. Not fancy code and 3d-engines but design
and emotions.

Another typical Virne intro. Nice music. Awesome style and great
compacting code. Uses high-color on a very smart way. The brilliant
colors Virne brags so much about on the infofile do look splendid.
This is a little hard do describe but it looks like an alpha channel.
The more centered you are the more colorfull you get. If you get to
high or to low you get more dark or more light. See it and youll
understand what im talking about.. The rest of the demo is just
weird things moving and teh story of our friendly and apparently
drunk aswell little robot. How he can hear more than us mear humans
how he can see beyond what we see and understand our world better.

Long ago before Pentiums existed there was a little boy called
basehead. Well.. he wasnt that little and it wasnt that long ago
either... Anyways.. That little boy was in a music-group called
five musicians. I think he still is but anyways... It was new years
day and he was bored like hell so he decided to release another
musicdisk. And there was much rejoicing among the sceners hurray
This musicdisk is a very simple way to show baseheads musical
gifts. It has 6 songs and all are great. Just a little nostalgia
thang going on..
