iCE breed (breed)

iCE's hi-rez sub-imprint, running pack series across 1999. Each pack was a JPG-only collection by named artists with occasional tracker music. Breed is what iCE looked like when it leaned fully into hi-rez over textmode. By 2001 the marquee iCE ANSi monthly was still running but feeling stretched; breed was the parallel imprint where the group's photographers, 3D artists, and digital painters could release work that didn't fit the BIN-and-ICE pack format. iCE's own 2002 NFO cited "Breed and Raster" alongside the DeviantArt Devvies win as proof iCE was paying attention to where the medium was going. A sub-imprint, not a standalone group but a clear sign of how iCE's institutional structure could absorb format shifts.
