sons of ascii prophets s0ap was originally founded in November, 1995.
by 204 locals Jestor and Isotope.
this pack was suppose to be the one year anniversary pack1196, but
considering its 0198, its sorta a 2 year anniv / explaination pack.
why did s0ap fold?
well, most of the original members no longer felt any urge to draw ascii,
or run an ascii group. For myselfprism, the novelty simply wore off.
s0ap had been in the scene for one year, and had been a dominating force,
hey we had proved what we had to prove. that a local group from winnipeg,
manitoba, could go from a fairly bad pack 1195, to being well recognized
in the scene as innovators of newschool ascii art only a few months later.
in this pack weve included artwork from all the soap members who ever wore
the s-0-a-p badge. everyones listed in the memberlisting, even members who
may not have left on such-good-terms: its all good, in hindsight.
we didnt release this pack to be a mind blowing ascii extravaganza, but
simply to officially close the s0ap chapter in the scene. Thus, some of the
art found in this pack may date back to 1995, as we decided to have full-
member representation in this pack, thus some artwork may lack in quality
compaired to todays standards.
s0ap would like to give a final greet to all its members, rivals, enemies,
and fans.
so we hope that s0ap will be remembered as the sons who laid the grounds
for many newschool ascii groups to plant seeds and grow...
