real crazy artists - news o397 !

Here we are again wrapping up another fantastically productive
season for rCA. The past two months have been invigorating,
we have swung from an severe low to a lofty high in the short
span of one month. Last month, we chose not to release for one
reason: quality. We had well over a meg of art, but we refused
to release because we knew the group could do better. This pack,
the product of many hours of labor by many people, is that better
that we strived for. After evaluating our priorities, we have
decided to make quality job 1 at rCA, and we know youll see
the differance. We invite you to take a look at what the new
rCA has to offer to the scene, if you feel the same way we do
about the importance of quality art, then I have a feeling
youll like the direction were going in. ENJOY!
Higher Standards, Higher Expectations
Starting this past month, rCA will not be accepting the usual app
for new artists. We have decided to require a standard portfolio
from our new members, which includes an original logo, 3 picks of
different styles, and an app including youre history in art. Why
all the red tape just to get into a simple art group? Mainly for
one reason: so we can get serious artists. The problem every group
is having is getting artists to actually perform too many times
has a dynamic artist joind and then disappeared the next week.
With the portfolio, we can be assured that our new members
have not only a great deal of talent, but also dedication. We
hope that this will not be a barrier to anyone wishing to join, we
only wish to insure a greater consistency of quality art for the
people who take the time to download our packs.
Member News
As usual, we have a host of new members that we would like to
introduce. In no particular order, Dracula, Fiber Tech, Twist-
grip, FrostBite, and Phantom Lord 2 come to join our ballooning
ANSI department. All of there talents will be appreciated. Good
ANSI artists are a wonderful commodity and we have great
expectations for these guys. Joining our ASCII department is
Psychoholic. Perhaps he can breath a little life into this section,
which has lately been suffering. Joining the VGA section this month
are Xenos, Cyber Assassin, and Krapp. From 3-d to photoshop work,
these guys are GREAT at what they do, and we look forward to
some great work from them.
Of course, there are always some slackers that never want to do
anything - we have done some MAJOR spring cleaning and you can
tell from the memberlist that some major cuts have been made.
Since the list is pretty long, and Im pressed for time, well
just say so long, adios, siyonara, have youre desk cleaned out
by tomorrow.
