I realize that requiring VESA 2.0 support is a maj
or obstacle for a lot
of people, but its the only way to break out of th
e pathetic world of
standard 320x200x256 graphics without selling out
to the DirectX Windows95
trend and without writing support for every video
card individualy. I
will not use someone elses graphics library . Th
e latest version of
SciTech Display Doctor supports just about every v
ideo card on the planet,
so if you install that you should be fine. VESA 2
.0 offers such a drama- tic speed impr
ovement for normal Windows operation and DOS games I d
ont know why anyone wouldnt want to
install it. Anyway, these are the cards that I
tested it on. If your card doesnt direct
ly support VESA 2.0 then make sure t
he SDD control panel has a Linear Frame Buffer setup a
nd
working.
Cards without native VESA 2.0 support had to
use SDD

Acid Artpacks Archive. us-bth /? if you
have any problems with the sound. I
used MikMaks awesome sound library for the S3M player
. Look for my tutorial
on the Lens effect in the next BTH!
Ill probably be too involved with my
java and perl coding to ever release bth6!
