How
do you think the US government's actions concerning piracy will change
over the next year? |
I think it will be the software
companies that will hunt down the offenders and then they will give all their
information gained to the police. The police will take over from there for the
arrest and prosecution.
|
|
Who
will be the first to be convicted under the new laws and how will this
group of people react? |
It will be the people who store
and give access to the warez who will bebusted at first rather then the
couriers etc. The more public the site, page, channel, etc. is the more likely
it will be targeted.
|
|
What
effect will these convictions have on the rest of the scene? |
The scene, especially in the USA
will go very secretive. Only after some major busts though, places like #exceed
maybe a thing of the past. Then again, maybe not.
|
|
How
is the warez scene going to be different a year from now because of the
NET act? |
The scene is constantly changing
so it's hard to say. Maybe the scene will go back to its underground roots,
maybe the NET act may have literally no effect at all.
|
|
Will
there be any positive effects on the scene? |
Hopefully there will be less
lamers, but I doubt it :)
|
|
How
will the NET act effect you personally |
Not very much at all, as all my
operations have very little to do with the USA.
|
|
What
advice would you give to people in the warez scene about the NET act? |
To the people in the US, tough
luck. But I doubt the NET act will effect suppliers so us non-us people don't
have as much to worry about. Name me an incident where a US law has been used as
a president for an European or a Pacific country?
